My plan in North Macedonia was just to visit the capital, Skopje. When I heard from other travelers that Ohrid was the place to go, however, I had to check it out. This quant little lakeside town has a lot of history and culture compacted into it, while offering visitors some great beaches and swimming spots during the warmer seasons.
